I’m the weirdo that haunts the pens, pads and portfolio aisle ooohh and aahhhh over bright colors, cute sticky pads and sleek pads. The more colorful the better too.
After 30 years of slaving the trenches of the office products industry, I am here to tell you if I never see a BLACK stapler again, I will be ecstatic. Now that I am free from the 9-5 gig, I still find I have that itch…that thrill…when I find awesome office products. Plain old black staplers, smoke-colored stack trays and manila folder just ain’t cuttin it.
BUT..recently the clouds parted and the angels sang. why? Because I found the place for cute, fun office supplies, cute desk accessories, decorative office supplies, designer office supplies, and cute school supplies for those creative individuals who want to “spice it up” a little. They have it all; cute file folders, funny sticky notes and pink desk accessories.
Office Candy was founded by Laurie Noel Meek. She is a professional organizer by trade, and found herself having a hard time finding a retail outlet that carried a wide array of beautiful, fun & functional office supplies that she needed to purchase for her clients. Tired of not being able to find fun, funky, bright and hip office products, she decided to create her own source. I love that Laurie runs Office Candy herself from her home with her garage acting as her warehouse. Venture Moms did a great article about how Laurie started Office Candy. Here’s an excerpt:
