So, do you know how to weave a good tale? Spin a solid sonnet? Write a moving non-fiction article? Then I suggest considering entering a Minnesota only writing contest!
Brainerd Writers Alliance is seeking submissions from literary authors across the state of Minnesota in the categories of fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry.
Brainerd Writers Alliance Writing Contest
Winners in each category will receive a cash prize and free entry to this year’s writers’ conference featuring Erin Hart and will be invited to read their winning entries. Details on the contest and how to submit can be found on their website at https://brainerdwriters.com/2018-writing-contest/
DEADLINE IS EXTENDED TO AUGUST 31. Please submit by August 31. If you have questions, contact brainerdwriters.contest@gmail.com
P.S. Entering a story is not hard! Get the scoop here.
NOTE: Winning entries will not be published on their website or published in any way, so that they may be submitted later as “not previously published” in magazines, anthologies, etc. Please invite fellow writers of all ages—aspiring and accomplished—to join Brainerd Writers Alliance. Membership is $15 per year and includes discounts on their events and classes.
All contest entrants are encouraged to register to attend the Brainerd Writers Alliance 2018 Conference and Book Fair.
