I love booklists. They are like the one-stop-shop for discovering handfuls of great books to add to your family “must-read” pile.
Now that 2021 has arrived, I’m looking forward to more awesome kidlit booklist discoveries. But in the meantime, I want to revisit some of my favorite Best Kid’s Books of 2020 in the world of books for kids and teens. Enjoy!
In this list of THE BEST CHILDREN’S BOOKS OF 2020 from Book Riot, I have to say that the one I am most texted to read is We Are Water Protectors by Carole Lindstrom and Michaela Goade
This booklist from Brightly noted something that I noticed too. As I looked through the picture books released in 2020, one theme kept standing out: positivity.
The kidlit book I am most eager to get my hands on is How to Solve a Problem by Ashima Shiraishi, illustrated by Yao Xiao
World-class rock climber Ashima Shiraishi shares her story of determination in this insightful picture book. She points out that a boulder is just like any other obstacle you might face in life. It takes patience and problem-solving to reach the top, but once you do, the reward is worth every ounce of effort you put in.
Of course, the Best Children’s Books of 2020 list from NYTimes.com is filled with heavy hitters like Jacqueline Woodson, Sophie Blackall, and James Patterson. But, I am scooting over to my local book reseller to secure my copy of BEFORE THE EVER AFTER by Jacqueline Woodson ASAP because…well…anything written by Jacqueline is AWESOME.
The annual event known as The Nerdies Picture Book Awards kicks off at the end of December is its always a treasure trove of the Best of the Best. I admit I don’t envy the judge’s task of trying to choose winners from this impressive line-up.
My personal two favs are:
- I Talk Like a River by Jordan Scott, illustrated by Sydney Smith
- A Gift for Amma: Market Day in India by Meera Sriram, illustrated by Mariona Cabass (Barefoot Books)
If it’s awesome diverse books you seek, these two power bloggers and book reviewers below always have exceptional lists:

Happy Reading!
Ready-to-Go blog content (also known as PLR) is a great way to shave precious time off your content creation while also offering your readers the details and advice that they crave.
With that in mind, my “go-to” supplier of ready-made content (White Label Perks) has some new content that I am exceptionally excited about and eager to you. And I know my fellow content creators will love it too.
It’s called Rock Your Courageous New Year. The pack includes a pillar post (1,200+ word blog post), 10 drool-worthy graphics, and 30 social media updates.
If that content has you excited, make sure to check out their awesome workbook. It’s filled with valuable content (3,000+ words), helpful exercises, and a notes section (so your readers can list what they’ve learned!).
In the workbook, the WLP team shared how to overcome fear and take action successfully. You can show your people how to…
- What Does Courage Look Like for You?
- Get Clear on Your Fear
- Create a Courageous New Plan
- Feel the Fear & Face It
- Self-Care Is Essential to Courage
- Find Your Dream Team
Here’s the cool thing: When you get your audience to embrace courage, they begin seeing the power of taking action in other areas of life. It’s pure magic to lead and coach clients through this process!
{Hot Tip: Include a picture of the eCover here and link to WLP with your affiliate ID}
Along with the workbook, you’ll get these goodies…three autoresponders for relationship building follow up, an attractive editable eCover (Photoshop source file included), and the opt-in page copy (it’s so easy to use!).

What I LOVE about the content from White Label Perks is that it shaves hours off my content creation time. If I tried to publish a workbook on my own, it would take me roughly 10-15 hours (and that’s before I get to the eCover design!).
But this pack? It’s so easy to use I can implement it in an afternoon!
To your success,
