When my sweet friend Laura announced that she had written her first book, I was pleasantly surprised! But also, not surprised. She is intelligent, eloquent, and her brain is always churning with new ideas to squeeze as much joy out of life as possible.

As I read Dear Mama – 100 Letters of Encouragement for the Milestones of Motherhood, I found myself nodding in agreement, smiling at the memories that the letters brought back (my “Littles” are 20 and 17 now), and even shedding a tear. In a nutshell, I wish these words of encouragement and comfort were around 20 years ago when I was a terrified and green-as-grass-first-time Mama.
