One of my “babies” crawled up in my lap yesterday. 75 pounds doesn’t sound like much, but my 2nd grader has gone from a lap-dog-sized-cuddler, to a St.Bernard-sized cuddler. Mom’s thigh were starting to go numb, but my Big Boy still has the sweetest hugs in the world. I wish I could bottle those moments forever. Happy Holidays!

You definitely have to savor those moments because they don’t last long enough!

You are so right. All of mine are teenagers now and I so miss those crawling up in my lap times.

My 15 year old and I love to share the couch and blankets and lock in on whater marathon is on TV. “luv you” are still words that we share. Although she doesn’t sit on my lap, we still hug each other. Her free time is even less than mine so any of those times together are fabulous!

Isn’t that the truth?? They grow up so fast! My 13 year old was going to bed the other night and said good night, I said goodnight, I love you and he said “I love you too.” Then he paused, like oops, I wasn’t supposed to say that out loud! haha! I thought I was literally going to cry it made me feel so good! Cherish every second!
