Chocolate. My Achilles Heel in my diet efforts.
Wait! Hold up! Maybe all work and no chocolate is NOT a good thing for this hard-working Mama. Look what I found!
“Neurotransmitters are the molecules that transmit signals between neurons. The amounts of particular neurotransmitters we have at any given time can have a great impact on our mood.”
Translation: Give me chocolate and no one will get hurt.
“The Mayans and later the Aztecs believed that cocoa was the food of the gods. They believed that chocolate transmitted knowledge and power to those who consumed it.”
Translation: Rock it like the ancient folks and honor your inner Goddess by eating an a$$load of chocolate. Be even more freakin awesome that you were before.
“Chocolate affects the levels of endorphins in the brain. Eating chocolate increases the levels of endorphins released into the brain. The endorphins work to lessen pain and decrease stress.”
I’m at work. I don’t like you. You are bugging me. I ignore you. You don’t go away. The sound of your squawky voice causes me pain. I eat chocolate and your annoying, obnoxious hind-end magically disappears. BONUS.
“Another common neurotransmitter affected by chocolate is serotonin.Serotonin is known as an anti-depressant. When serotonin is released it produces feelings of joy, excitement, and in some cases, a state of ecstasy.”
Translation: Eat chocolate. Have the big “O”. Va-gy-gy happy. BONUS #2
ANY QUESTIONS?

No question here.
Any excuse to get chocolate. Actually I don’t need an excuse, but I’ll take one anyway.
