Author Yvette Pais came across my radar during Multicultural Children’s Bool Day 2017. Since then, we’ve stayed in touch and I consider her one of my many “online buddies.” She is kind, gracious and crazy-talented.
Created by Yvette and illustrator Ines Hüni, the purpose of this new book, titled ¿Qué pasa? Los an Animales de la A a la Z, was created to promote Alphabetization in the Spanish Speaking World
This book has been designed specifically to promote alphabetization in the Spanish speaking world, which is an underserved market. A little-known fact is that Spanish is the second most widely spoken language in the world. Te invito a que descubras el alfabeto de una forma divertida. Aprender a leer es el comienzo de una gran aventura! Leer es un derecho no un privilegio.
A Visit with Yvette Pais
“This book was created with two objectives,” Yvette shared. “One to donate some books to the schools that were damaged by the earthquake in Mexico and two, to incentivize children to love reading.
1) What makes this book unique?
This book has been designed specifically to promote alphabetization in the Spanish speaking world, which is an underserved market. Especially considering that Spanish is the second most widely spoken language in the world.
2) What inspired you to write it?
My desire to encourage and motivate young learners to read in Spanish.

“Today kids receive a diverse education covering many areas of knowledge. Their time in school involves what they will do for the rest of their lives. Hence it is important for them to understand from an early age that hey can choose whatever they want to be.
This book is about motivating kids to explore various career choices. It helps kids answer the age-old question: What do you want to be when you grow up.” This is her 2nd book for children aged 4 – 7 which is now available on Amazon.com

Does this book include an English translation? The Illustrations are gorgeous and I think would appeal to young readers. They certainly caught my eye?
