No Social Media Sundays

Back in the day

Sunday was “the day of rest”.

Farmers came in from the fields, stores closed, and people flocked to church for worship and fellowship.

We kinda do around my house too..

…only it consists of staying in your jammies until noon and saying hi to God from the Temple of Front Step.

Hey, we don’t anything else like normal people, why should this be any different?

And there’s one other thing I’ve noticed about me.

But Sunday…I am over it.

But over it I mean this Social Media junkie has no desire to do anything along of the lines of Faceboo, blogs,. Twitter. Even Sunday blog giveaways don’t entice me any moe.

By Sunday I have no desire to blog, write, FB, Tweet, P.R, Hotmail, email, chat, post, write, research, comment, word verify, follow, laugh, cajole, comiserate, relate, or even a tiny bit of Mister Linky.

And I certainly don’t give a rats behind where I rank on Technorati (like, I even have a rank) or what my Sitemeter says.

I am tapped. Toast. Drained, Depleted.

Outta Social Media “gas”.

Heck, by Sunday I don’t even feel like recycling….

..but that’s a whole nother segement of Oprah.

I am D.O.N.E.

But maybe that’s the way it should be.

Give myself/ourselves time to decompress, unplug, feel the sun and smell the flowers.

SO, I hereby declare a challenge.

From now on…I declare Sunday’s NSMS.

No Social Media Sundays.

Step aawwwayyy from the computer.

I’ll start now..after I finish this post…even though it’s Sunday.

I will I swear.

If you want too to, that would be cool.

I Missed My Bloggy Birthday!

It’s Official!


It’s been tracked, documented, logged, signed, sealed and delivered.


I’ve been blogging for TWO WHOLE YEARS!! WHHHOOOTT!


I read somewhere that’s like 20 in Real Blog Years.

In Blog Years my blog would be a successful Hollywood Marriage.


In regular years, if my blog was two, it would be just thinking about Big Kid Beds and just discovering the joys of a cheeseburger. Maybe even battling demons like pacifier adiction and plotting deep covert operations like Which Dolly Will I Sleep With Tonight.

 And I can’t fricken believe I missed it.


May 21st was The Day. And I missed it.


I am sure I had a good excuse. I was probably Chairing an event, workin 8-5, having “knocker” issues, attempting to plant a garden or trying convince my potty-trained daughter No More Paper Pants..

But the reality is two years ago I started blogging. I was fastinated. Engaged. And absolutely THRILLED their were Moms/women out there that thought.like.me.

Still am.

One of the first blogs I ever followed was Michele over at The Professional Family Manager.

She’s still one of my Bloggy BFF’s.


Looking back at those first fews posts I wrote as Franticmommy is kinda like looking back on old High School pictures. A little rough, mighty embarassing, and a little uncultured.

I probably had Mall Bangs back then too.

Back then, if I got two comments I thought I was pretty hot crap.

It was back when I used really tiny print..

 For those that don’t know, the “Mommy Molehole” is that feeling of being underground for years when your kids are little and your world is really SMALL.

Not that my world is any bigger now…

Hold up…actually… it IS.

My Blog World is full of good friends who make me laugh, make me cry, give me fabulous information, and almost always assure me that I am not as bat sh*t crazy as I think I am. They know I am a comment ho and give me comment luv (which I always try to return as my 59 Minutes and 59 Seconds Allows)

It’s like you guys know I have this screwy need for approval.

So in conclusion…

I feel I need to warn you…

I plan to be around for at least another two years…

and I swear I will never use tiny print again.

  6. Congratulations on your two years! Stunningly enough I missed my Birthday too! I published a post on the same day, and than about 5 hours later I realized that it was 2 years old, and I included a note at the bottom of the post, but by then fewer people noticed and didn’t take eyesight into it as there was no comments about that.
    The blogging world is sure is contagious, and what better way to share the world with, an array of people from all walks of life.
    I appreciate you stopping by. Your blog is very inspiring too, full of creativity. 🙂

    Funny how the first post is so different from then to today. Isn’t crazy how things change and grow. I am coming up on my 1st anniversary of blogging June 20th. I had NO idea a year ago how awesome community in blogland was.
